Top 5 super eagles players and their salary
When it comes to the value of players, the Super Eagles player's salary has been evolving and improving in recent years. The majority of elite Super Eagles players earn a large sum of money, and several of them are among Africa's highest-paid athletes.
1.Odion Ighalo:
Odion Ighalo is a Super Eagles striker who now plays for Manchester United in the Premier League as well as the Nigerian national team.
If he had not taken a pay reduction to join Manchester United on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January 2020, the Nigerian striker would have been at the top of this list by a larger margin.
Ighalo was paid £300,000 every week in China.
Manchester United's Odion Ighalo earns £130,000 per week. Despite taking a pay reduction to join United, he rises to the top of the list and becomes the highest-paid Super Eagles on the planet.
2.Victor Moses
Moses is a well-traveled footballer, yet his salary while on loan from Chelsea in Turkey, Italy, and now Russia are £110,000 per week after he signed a contract extension with the London club in March 2017.
Moses had been with Chelsea for five years at the time and was having a great season under Italian manager Antonio Conte.
The manager chose to sign him to Inter, but he was loaned out to FC Spartak Moscow after a season. Moses is the highest-paid Super Eagles player in Europe and ranks second in the world's top ten highest-paid Super Eagles players.
3.Wilfred Ndidi:
The Nigerian midfielder has had a stellar Premier League career with Leicester City. Ndidi joined the Foxes in January 2017 and immediately made an impact.
Since then, he has established himself as one of Europe's most reliable midfielders. In August 2018, he was given a six-year contract.
The 23-year-old is paid £75,000 per week under that contract. He is now the highest-paid Super Eagles player in the Premier League.
4. Ahmed Musa:
Musa is a well-liked footballer and one of the country's top forwards. Musa wowed the entire world by scoring two game-winning goals against Iceland at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Following his performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian club, went all out to sign Nigerian attacker Ahmed Musa.
He had not been a success in the Premier League, and Leicester City was delighted to receive a higher sum than the club record £16.6 million for which he had been signed.
That was Al Nassr's opinion on the Super Eagles forward. The Nigerian was also offered a contract of £60,000 a week by the club.
5.Kelechi Iheanacho:
He is well-known for his speed and finishing abilities. The striker joined Leicester City as a highly-rated teenager in the summer of 2017 for a rumored £25 million transfer price. The striker was given a weekly wage of £60,000, making him one of Nigeria's highest-paid players.
In reality, he is England's second-highest-paid Super Eagles player. According to a story in the UK Sun, the Super Eagles player earns more than £100,000 per week from endorsements, but that figure has not been confirmed elsewhere.
